Farewell to My Friend and My Father
Needless to say, the last two months have been an emotional roller-coaster for my family and me. Just as I was gaining momentum in Internet marketing and my wife was graduating and being licensed for her new role as a Family Nurse Practitioner, my father’s health took a turn for the worst, at least for us, his family. I now understand the difficulty a family goes through when they are dealing with a situation where a loved one is lingering in that stage between life and death. Having to make plans for a funeral while trying to arrange living quarters at the same time, never really knowing how long it will be and whether they are honoring the loved one’s wishes. As tough as it was on me, it was my sister Cyndy who took the brunt of the suffering as she was physically closer and the one to keep the rest of us posted regularly. I Praise God for her courage, strength, work and availability during this time of great suffering. I always expected the responsibility to fall on my shoulders, and, except for a change of direction in my life just a few short years ago, it would have been. » read more

Daddy’s Last Day
I just received word this morning that my father will be passing away later today or early tomorrow. His system has started shutting down and he has do not resuscitate orders with the doctors. » read more

Prayer Request
I apologize to my readers that I have not updated the site in a while, but my father is dying in a hospital in Georgia. I have been busy wrapping things up here and visiting him. I will go this weekend to see him one last time. One sister and I have accepted that he is effectively gone, but it is just setting in on my other sister and on two of my children. » read more
