A Word of Encouragement
In the Warrior Forum is a thread that was started by someone who announced that after six hard weeks of failing to get ranking in his sites or make sales he finally earned 11 cents. “I hit the big-time!” he says. Likewise, just the other day, I was encouraged over one of my sites moving up from PR-N/A to PR-0. You may think that these are terrible results for all the work that went into them, but maybe they weren’t.

Encouragement from Google
Just a quick note about one of my websites.
Very quickly after multiple phishing attacks, almost every site hosted on my service (all were attacked) dropped to Google PR n/a, which meant Google would not post them in the search results of a normal search. They were not banned, just discredited. » read more

Failure is NOT an Option! It IS a Part of Life!
Expect it! Deal with it! Get over it! Get up and get going again!
I woke up with a nasty, negative attitude this morning. I tried to shake it, but not with any success. Even listening to five podcasts reruns of the Scott Smith’s Monday edition of The Daily Boost and Zig Ziglar’s Inspiring Words didn’t bring me out of it. Anyone who knows Scott Smith of MotivationToMove.com knows I was pretty deep. And, yes, Scott, I did my homework but I didn’t care for what I found, OK? OK!
Just two days ago, I wrote a newsletter post by this same title for my website. I read it over and over again. It helped, but what really brought me back is the following video.
We all experience failures throughout our lives. They don’t make us failures. We just need to get back up one more time.
“If I fail, I try again, and again, and again…” Nick Vujicic
I hope this video helps you find the strength to get back up when you are down and discouraged.

Reminiscing
Looking back at my past….
This morning I was thinking of something and somehow my mind wandered off to things I did when I was young. I used to be able to throw a knife at a sycamore ball and cut it in half, I once bounced the but of a knife off the head of a water moccasin and shot an arrow into the center of a bull’s eye where it pushed the previous shooters arrow out of the back of the target.
Sure, these are strange examples of accomplishments, but these and others all have something in common. It was practice. I spent time every day practicing these things. When I was in Junior and Senior High Schools, I used to go to the woods behind my house and practice shooting my rifle, shooting my arrows and throwing my knife. I didn’t really think I spent that much time doing it, but I spent a little time each week doing them. Over time I became good at it. » read more

Crossing the Continental Divide
I now live only a few minutes from the Continental Divide so I cross it every time I take a short drive to relax.
For those of you who do not know, the Continental Divide is the line where rain water is separated. On one side the rain ultimately flows to the ocean and on the other side it makes its way to the Gulf of Mexico.
There is also a Continental Divide in your path to success.
Think about every time you have ever succeeded in reaching a goal. At first you were excited about the opportunity and you jumped in with fervor. Then you caught a ride on the emotional roller coaster going up and down and around in circles wondering if you were going to quit or finish. Then one day you realized that you were going to make it. The things that once discouraged you no longer had any effect. They rolled away like water on a duck’s back. You knew that there was nothing that could stop you so nothing could discourage you from reaching your goal. You crossed your Continental Divide! » read more
