I noticed that many Internet marketers and gurus suggest using the wysiwyg html editor, NVU (the latest version is called KompoZer) for creating web pages, squeeze pages, etc. I have been using it for years and it does well – if it is creating stand-alone content.

I prefer creating my article content at my desktop, rather than through the Internet. So when I create an article for my WordPress websites, I create them on my computer and copy and paste the code into the html form in WordPress. I discovered that when I cut and paste NVU source code into WordPress, I get the privilege of spending the next five to ten minutes cleaning up the mess.

Lately, I have been using OpenOffice.Org (OOo) as my article creation and editing tool. With it I get to format text, insert pictures and I get the added benefit of having a spelling checker.

This is very large, centered text.

This is a second line of the large text.

This is a heading 1 line.

This is a heading 2 line.

This is a heading 3 line.

Finally, this is a default paragraph. I only hit the enter key once at the end of each paragraph to go to the next line. While editing this document, I see every line directly under each other with no gaps in between. I also added special effects to certain words and phrases in this paragraph to show them by example.

I am going to break here, and insert similar code created in NVU. I think you will see a difference.

sure there is plenty of wrap around here.  I am taking the source
code from NVU and copying it into the HTML window of the article.
I will actually be copying NVU first, because WordPress will alter
copied text from OOo if it is viewed in the HTML edit window.
WordPress is funny like that.  By the way, I did manually edit the
font effects here in NVU from scratch.  I did not import anything
from OOo so it would not contaminate the experiment.

I know this is not the most important information you need to know for
your internet business, but I thought I would pass it along
anyway.

I hope you found this information useful.

(end of NVU content.)

PS. WP keeps modifying this document every time I edit it.  So I just tried again in one save.
